Our History

Pennant Moldings began in 1969 when Clarence Groves had a vision for a manufacturing company that would focus specifically on the needs of his customers in the appliance industry. He left his current employer, which like all industrial manufacturers of the day was focused almost exclusively on the automobile industry, and pioneered one of the first appliance component manufacturers in the region. Pennant Moldings was born of humble beginnings in a small plant on Rose Avenue in Sabina, Ohio. Through hard work and perserverence Groves cultivated the growth of the company, building the initial customer base on his own. The first orders shipped to Frigidaire in 1969. By the mid 1980s Pennant had outgrown the Rose Avenue plant and moved to its current location. Since then, the current facility has grown and extensive additions made. The company still focuses on customer needs, serving a variety of industries including appliance, automobile and truck, building, HVAC, and many more. Pennant’s customer-centric approach has made it uniquely successful along with its emphasis on customer service and relationships, quality, and cost cutting measures.
